Repping the East Coast from Mass, Courtney is a proud dog mom who stays up way too late clutching in Valorant and still wakes up to hot-glue something adorable. Her significant other fully supports the craft obsession — as long as she at least tries to sell something.
Deep in the heart of Texas, Kelsey is a married substitute teacher, mom to a 5-year-old son, and two cats — somehow still finding time to crochet between lesson plans and Valorant sessions with Courtney. Her husband supports the craft hoarding… with the gentle condition that she at least tries to sell something. (Sound familiar?)
It all started in an Overwatch queue — the original Overwatch. Courtney and Kelsey grouped up, clicked instantly, and never stopped playing together. Over the years they've jumped from game to game — Valorant, Dead by Daylight, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Stardew Valley, and way too many others to list. Somewhere between matches, they discovered they were both obsessive crafters. Late-night Discord calls turned into crafting sessions, which turned into "we should sell this stuff," which turned into their partners both saying "YES, PLEASE sell some of it — we're running out of room." And so, AFK Crafters was born. Two best friends, 1,800 miles apart, making cute things and gaming together — just like always.
